Morning report C/308M for March 1, 1945

Station: Hemmerden, Germany, wF1981
Record of events: At 1045, 28 Feb 45, 1/2 of Collection Station moved forward from Jackerath to Elfgen, Germany, wF1576 where station was set up in a school house. At 1430 station at Elfgen again moved forward from Hemmerden, Germany, wF1981. At 1700 Collection Station at Jackerath moved forward and joined at Hemmerden. As Hemmerden was Regimental CP, town was under continuous shelling. At 3d Bn Aid Station about 1000 Pfc Mellot and Pfc Minjares lost one ambulance as a result of direct hit from a German tank. Pfc Mellot suffered slight cuts on right side of face above the eye and Pfc Minjares sprained ankle. All attacks by 331 Regt have been successful and all German counter-attacks smashed. Weather: Bad, wind and rain have cut air support to a minimum.
