Record of events:
Catholic chaplain visited Btry & heard confessions and served Holy Communion. PX rations were sold to men; rations consisted of Candy, Chewing Tobacco, writing paper & envelope. 783rd Ord inspected & done minor repairs on Howitzers. Coal was delivered to Btry by Sv Btry. All gas masks and carabines were inspected by Captain Bunno. Dud 75mm shell was removed from near Howitzer section by 1st Sgt Hoolan to an out of way area so as not to hinder movements of Howitzer section crews. Howitzers fired on enemy strong points and cross roads also fired harassing fire. Btry fired 104 rounds. Weather: Fair. Morale: Excellent.
