Record of events: La Follette & party went forward as observers for Blank Bn at 0815. Reported to 331 Inf Regt CP. While at OP Lt LaFollette registered Blank & Black Dog Bns. Also fired concentration on enemy troops with Black Dog Bn. Returned to Btry at 1900. Visibility was Poor. During day Btry improved position by digging in and placing overhead cover on fox holes. Cover consists of Pine logs, rocks and dirt. Howitzers fired 39 rds harassing fire, 19 rds registration, and 21 rds TOT. Weather: Cold with sleet. Morale: Excellent.
