Record of events: Btry fired preparation for assault and also on enemy tank assembly area, mortor positions, truck convoy and counterattack. Effect of firing unknown. Harassing fire is being fired on enemy positions. No. 3 gun was called out of action at approximately 1400, due to melfunction of obturator spindle. New part was secured from ordnance and gun was repaired by btry arty mechanic. Gun was called back into action at about 1730. Weather: Clear and cold. Morale: Excellent.
