As of 10 Jul 44 - Remained in def. positions in 375774. Enemy attacked our rear area with Inf & tanks. Caused a bit of excitement. Bazooka teams quickly disposed of tanks & Inf. withdrew. As of 11 Jul 44 - The Co. with Co. E attacked to the Sout fr 375774. Reached Hi Way 4 in grid sq 37-76 was counterattacked by Inf. & tanks on Hiway 4, and drive back 1 field. Reorganized & counter attacked. Captured company part of objective after knocking out tank (enemy). As of 12 Jul 44 - Reverted to Division Reserve. Withdrew from 375774 and went to vicinity of 352779. As of 13 Jul 44 - Quit sector South of Higway 4. Moved to 353755 to close gap in 331st Inf. sector. As of 14 Jul 44 - Withdrew from 331st Sector. Entrucked and moved to Assembly area at 394727 in preparation to attack 15 Jul 44. As of 15 Jul 44 - Moved fr Assembly Area at 394727. Proceeded South to vicinity of 390700. Attacked along road and captured R.J. at 385700 thence to SW to R.J. at 382697 then proceeded North to CR at La Barre. As of 16 Jul 44 - This company with 1 Plt. of Co. H attacked from La Barre and took a populated are at 374703. Consolidated and defended. As of 17 Jul 44 - This Company wih Co. G attacked and captured objective wich was populated area at 378690. Consolidated poistion and stayed overnight. As of 18 Jul 44 - This Company with 1 section of Co H attacked mopping up road net from CR at 379694 East to 386691 where we tied up with Recon. Troops of 9th Div then West to 382689. Reorganized and returned to populated area at 378690. As of 19 Jul 44 - Remained in defensive position at 378690. Repelled one attemped attack by enemy about 1200 with small arms and 60 MM fire. 20 Jul 44 - Remained in defensive position in vicnity of 377689. Quit with exception of occassional small arms & mortar fire from enemy.
