Morning report C/331 for December 22, 1944

Record of events: Our 2nd Pltn with 1 L.M.G. section attached relieved a pltn of armored inf. and tanks of Co. C. 34th Bn 5th Arm. Div. in Schneidhause at 0600 this morning. Our medics treated several of the wounded of the Armored. Bridge across Don is still intact, plan to blow up same. Town is full of AP mines and AT mines. Shelled heavily last night. One casualty from same. Shelling is fr 150 art. or 120 mortar fr at 85-90 degrees. We have an outpost on left flank contacting L Co. outpost. Sending in another LMG squad and 60mm mortar squad plus 8 riflemen to reinforce 2nd Pltn in other town. Also sending extra medics and supplies in tonight with extra rations and ammo. Shelling knocked out wire almost as fast as we replaced it or repaired it. Had 2 casualties from shell fire there. Captured 2 prisoners in Schneidhauser, picked up 4 civilians prisoners in Kufferath.
