Morning report B/331 for April 9, 1945

Record of events: 7 Apr 45 At 2000 last night, the Co sent one platoon plus tanks to Falkenhagen to assist two troops of the 113th Cav. At 2130 they were ordered to return and go out on a different mission. At 2330, the Co proceeded on foot to Hummersen to capture the town. Arriving there at 0230 they were fired upon by a road block. They immediately returned the fire and entered the town. In the town trouble was encountered with civilians for the first time when a civilian shot a member of the Co. At 0630 the town was officially cleared. 9 Apr 45 At 2000 last night, the Co advanced on foot through Forst, cleared Latgenade, Warbsen and contacted 'F' Co at Golmbach at 0200 this morning. At 1500 the Co moved out again and cleared the woods 1000 yds South of Heinrich Shagen. After taking nine prisoners the Co returned to Golmbach Germany.
