Record of events:
Bn reinforced by 324th FA Bn in direct support of 331st Inf in VII Corps, I Army Sector. Sector in attack on Gey, Germany. Outskirts of town entered at 0930, street fighting cont'd throughout day. Eastern part of town still held by enemy at close of period. Enemy air activity over Bn fr 1723 to 1751. No bombs dropped over Bn area. Enemy harassing fire fell in CP area 1920 - no casualties. Bn & supporting unit cont'd harassing fires on enemy troops throughout night. A Btry forward Observer (Lt Johnson) captured 2 enemy prisoners, who were turned over to Regt CP for evacuation. Weather: Cool and partly clear. Health of Command: Good. Morale: Excellent. Improvement of log hut shelters contd throughout day. Casualties: Cpl Thomas C. Ragonese, 311997723, Btry A, LWA 9 Dec 44 & evacuated.
